Jay Rerekura
Im proud to call Whanganui home. Over the years Ive dedicated myself to serving our people from youth work with Te Ora Hou, to championing campaigns like White Ribbon, to governance roles on the P?kaitore Historic Reserve Board and the Community Taskforce on Youth Wellbeing. I bring both community and business experience as a director and consultant, and Ive always believed in turning up, listening, and getting the job done.
Im running for Council because I believe in Whanganuis potential. Our strength lies in connection and collaboration, and I want to ensure decisions made at the council table reflect our shared values and deliver for future generations. Guided by fairness, kindness, and responsibility, Im committed to building a Whanganui where people feel heard, supported, and confident about the future.

M?uri ora. Im standing for the Whanganui District Council because I believe in Whanganui. I bring experience as a business director and consultant, with a proven track record of turning up for our people through causes like the White Ribbon campaign, events like the Festival of Cultures, and in governance roles with Te Ora Hou, P?kaitore Historic Reserve Board, and the Community Taskforce on Youth Wellbeing. Im a proud family man, grounded by values of kindness, fairness and responsibilityand I know how to get things done.
Im for the people, I love Whanganui, and Ill make future-focused decisions for the generations to come. Im not here to speak for just one groupIll represent all of Whanganui. If you want someone who shows up, listens, and leads with integrity, then I ask for your vote this election.
