My background prior to working for one of my iwi was in the legal sector primarily practicing in civil ligation as well as working with M?ori. An avid cross-fitter, I enjoy spending my free time with friends, family and in the outdoors. I have a young son who is 9 years old and loves swimming, shaolin kemp and soccer. Of Te Roroa and Ng?ti Whatua descent, I enjoy being involvement in my community including acting as a Board member of the Dargaville Youth Charitable Trust, supporting and developing my marae and whanau's aspirations and having served a term for my other iwi on Te Roroa Board of Trustees. I currently hold the Resource Management portfolio for Ng?ti Wh?tua, serve as a Commissioner, and have held numerous voluntary roles including on rangatahi and iwi trusts. Wairoa needs strong advocacy now more than ever. Over the past three years I've built trusted relationships and a solid understanding of council. As a ward we must plan ahead - investing to offset rates, addressing water and infrastructure resilience, and tackling the housing crisis.
